Since starting InterAct, we’ve been focusing on providing our customers with insight on diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Now that we’ve laid down a good groundwork, we are taking one step forward to share our experiences, knowledge, and vision through a new communication project. We are improving the external communication and online presence by bringing in the knowledge of communication professionals and filmmakers. To do this, we have three motivated interns who help us kickstart the project of communication and social media. We’re fortunate to have them with us through the remainder of 2019, and we look forward to getting to know them and their competence throughout this period.

Melissa K Johnson
Intern
“I grew up in Minnesota, USA and I’ve also lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Germany (Frankfurt and Stuttgart). In November 2016, I moved to Gothenburg, Sweden.
I am a well-proven organizer with international experience in office and project management, event planning, and result-driven service. I have used my strengths in personal connections, resource planning, and working in a team to drive my career to the future.
Colleagues and contacts know me as an innovative thinker who comes with many new ideas and perspectives in discussions and meetings. To foster success in the groups I am involved in, I try to promote dialogue and creativity. Inclusivity and creativity are personal keywords.
My “Minnesota Nice” upbringing has inspired several of my primary skills, including relationship building, mentorship/coaching, and creative problem-solving.
I have come to InterAct with the desire to share my international experiences and help others in their integration processes. I also look forward to exploring new ideas and possibilities for my future career in Sweden.”

Intern
“I am a highly motivated person with a strong interest in learning many new things. I keep myself occupied and updated by studying and also participating in a lot of workshops and events held in Gothenburg. I am currently at the end of my master’s degree in IT & Learning at Gothenburg University, which relates a lot to my interest to see how technology can be used as part of learning process.
My previous background as a software programmer and software trainer always excites me when it comes to communicating with people, and I also like to communicate through my own writings.
I take this opportunity as an intern to InterAct, to further develop my communication skills, and also learn more about InterAct as an organization. This could potentially help me in the future when I start working to understand Swedish working culture and diversity.”

Keerthi Veera Raghavan
Intern
“I have studied Telecom engineering and spent most of my work-life in different positions within sales, marketing, customer relations, and administration. This gave me experience from automotive, banking and educational sector. My husband’s work added the opportunity to live in South Africa and we have now settled in Sweden. I’m currently finishing my Swedish studies. I’m great at building relations and are happy to empower others – which is a big asset for the organizations I work within both for cooperation with co-workers and to provide excellent service for clients.
I take this opportunity as an intern at InterAct, to further discover and develop my skills & capabilities while learning more about InterAct as an organization. This could potentially help me in the future, in aligning to the Swedish work culture and way of life. It would also help me understand the Swedish market and the skill requirements, while I plan my career path here.”
