This workshop is perfect for you who want to learn how to create a productive environment in which everybody can contribute with their full potential. Learn how to act to include and strengthen yourself and others at your workplace.

The training program can be used to work hands-on with the active measure against discrimination required by the Discrimination Act. Your own workplace will be in focus looking at norms risking exclusion of co-workers. Using inclusive language is a great technique to create interaction and a communication beyond usual simplifications and prejudice. Inclusive language highlights unconscious bias and helps us welcome everyone to participate on equal terms.

Content

Active measures and norms

  • Introduction to the Discrimination Act and the requirement to work with active measures.
  • What a norm is and how we can work with awareness of norms.
  • Uncover unconscious bias at the workplace.

Inclusive language

  • Examples of changes in language.
  • Words that include or exclude.

Inclusive topics of Conversation

  • Conversations beyond simplification and stereotypes.
  • Topics of conversations that are inclusive or exclusive.

  • Through exercises in groups, the participants identify situations and analyze them with the help of different models.
  • Easy role playing to practice communication skills and experience how it feels to be “in the shoes of the other”.

In-practice Workshop

In addition to providing basic information and simple understanding of the topic, this workshop provides practical skills. Lectures are varied with interactive exercises. The focus is on practicing communication and interaction skills that can be then used in practice in everyday work.

Inspirational Lectures
