InterAct was asked by the organization MyRight to facilitate their yearly staff conference. We were impressed by their really cool group of staff who have a great deal of knowledge and engagement with which they empower people with disabilities around the globe! It was fascinating to engage with a truly diverse team from 8 different countries: Nepal, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Bolivia, Bosnia, Tanzania, and Sweden. Inclusion was being constantly put into practice, as we were constantly working with simultaneous translations into Spanish, Sign Language, and Visual Interpretation.
Bringing a Facilitator from outside helped the group stay on track for all three days. Interact increased participation and communication skills with interactive methods and took a great workload off the shoulders of organizers.
